Today I posted a picture on Instagram about the girl who was dress coded at her school because her collarbones were showing, thus making her a distraction towards boys in the classrooms. I had captioned the picture.. “this is disgusting and unfortunately more and more common..
boys need to stop sexualizing every part of a woman’s body!” and I feel strongly about this whole topic because I’ve had teachers comment on how short my shorts are ( they never are ) and me almost getting dress coded or them end up telling my parents one day. Even my family members complain my shorts are too short when they cover my butt fine and aren’t running up my legs, I’m not confident enough to wear short ones anyhow. The point being.. I had the picture up for maybe 2 minutes and I had one of my male friends comment something along these lines, “I think this is only a specific school problem, and that it isn’t….” I didn’t read the rest cuz I got the notification after I deleted it. The dress code issue isn’t just a school to school problem, the over all issue is people sexualizing every part of the women’s body enough for it to be a common issue and causing students to miss valid class time because shoulders/collarbones are visual or their leggings “show too much”. WHAT WOMEN WEAR SHOULDNT BE WHY MEN ARE DISTRACTED, THESE IMMATURE BOYS SHOULD JUST GET THEIR HEADS AND MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER AND THINK ABOUT LIFE AND SCHOOL RATHER THEN SEX!!
